Pictures, a winner and a free pattern

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween weekend whether it was trick or treating with the kids, watching scary movies or just eating lots of candy. We were super busy. We enjoyed trick or treating on Saturday at a the zoo. It is such a fun event and my little princess loved it. Sunday we did traditional trick or treating and a hayride with friends. Also lots of fun.

A few thoughts about our Halloween:
1. The day after Halloween is a disaster for young children. I believe it should be a school holiday. I imagine that many teachers would agree with me.
2. Despite my love of the handmade, our Halloween was not handmade. I hope you can forgive me. I figure that with a newborn, I have an excuse. Besides, this store-bought costume was cheaper than I could have made it for.
3. For those houses that deck themselves out in the scariest way: When you see a group of 3 year olds coming, seriously why would you try to scare them? They are just babies and don't know that you are just playing pretend. That is just wrong!

Anyways, here are a few pictures from our Halloween.

Now, for the winner of the Minnie and Me giveaway from last week. The winner is:

I love your comments. According to a news report the other night, candy does does give kids a sugar high and make them hyperactive.
I'm a retired teacher. Evidently they didn't try this with a room of 25-30 kids at one time! LOL
